The Arizona Sun

We left Dexter at 6 am Friday. It was 28 degrees on the thermometer in the coach. Had a nice drive all the way to Dallas. It was overcast and chilli but we had plenty of heat from the dash to keep the coach warm as we traveled. We stopped every couple of hours so as not to get too tired of sitting. Came into Dallas at 4 pm. Bad timing and bad weather. Took us two hours to get around the metro area. Folks in Dallas do not know how to drive in rain. Then, everyone in the other lane comes to a stop to look at the wrecks. Must have been 5 accidents, all in opposite lanes as us, but we got tied up in the traffic. What is that all about? I was so aggrivated with the drivers that I could not wait to get out of there. Just west of Weatherford, happened again. Wreck in eastbound lane had traffic backed up 10 miles, in their lane, and us coming to complete stops so the guys in front of us could look. Oh me. Rained all the way to Abilene then stopped. We pulled into a Flying J and spent the night. It got cold and we used our new furnace. Sure was glad we had it working. 750 miles on Friday and we stopped at 8 pm for the night. Saturday morning it was cold and the wind was so rough. I could not wait to get going. Pulled out about 8 am. We finally got out of the wind at El Paso. Pulled into Duncan about 6 pm Saturday evening after about 650 miles for the day. Was a great trip. No problems, just kept heading west. Saturday was the first time we had seen sunshine for a while. Nearly forgot what it looked like. Parked and set the coach up as soon as we got here. We plan to insulate the bedroom tonite and tomorrow, as we bought some more insulation after chuch this morning. It was down to the mid 20's here last night but we stayed warm. We can use less lp though by insulating some easy to get to spots. We will have the entire coach all re insulated when we finish our projects.
We do have photos. I will work on that tonite. Should be able to get some on the blog. Teri will need to help me find the camera. Thanks for checking in. Dan
