Oh, What A Day

We hit it running on Tuesday. I mean, I was up and we were out of here before 830 am. Where were we going? How about 8-10 Goodwills here in the Phoenix area. I did not realize what bargains can be had at these places. Almost like a cheap pawn shop. Rob has been doing this for some time and of course Teri was all in. Off we went. I noticed as soon as we hit the door Rob headed for certain areas in the store. Sewing machines was his cache for the day. It seems that some of the ladies in the community where Rob lives sew blankets and give to local police so they can give to unfortunate children. Rob has learned to be a sewing machine mechanic lately. He buys old sewing machines at Goodwill and repairs them. Then, he gives to the sewing group. How cool is that.
There are all kind of electronic things, lots of clothes, some new, and tools. I know we hit 8, maybe 10. It was an all day affair. We did not get home until 5. then Rob and Teri cooked up some fine chicken for supper. Tuesday was 25% off for anyone 55 and older so I made Teri's purchases for her. She is just a kid, you knpow.
We decided to hang around for another day. It is hard to get enough visiting in with Rob in one day. Was so late Monday when we arrived that we did not get much visiting in. Today has been laid back. I filled our water tanks. Also pulled the o2 sensor and we are going to get a new one. Mine is mounted so close to the left torsion bar that it hits. Now it is busted.
Teri and Rob are inside planning our afternoon attack on this day. Could be some geocaching on the horizon.
I have also been talking with and watching Ken Burton as he travels from In. on his way to meet us in Quartzsite. Right now he is leaving Lubbock Tx. where he dropped off his daughter. I have him coming over the mountains at Riodso as he wanted the scenic way. He will hit 10 and then over to 8 and up at Gila Bend to 10 again, missing the Phoenix area. Teri and I will pull out in the morning for the 180 mile trip on west. You can track Ken as n9kb-11 if you wish. We will be wd0afq as we make our run tomorrow. Ride with us if you can. If not, when you get a chance log on and move the times back to see where we have been.
