A Late Start To A Fun Day

Teri and I did not get rolling very early this morning. At noon we jumped in the car and headed for White Signal Mountain, NM. Check WD0AFQ-1 on the tracker to see just where we were. You can change the times in the upper right hand corner of the map to get our daily travels.
Anyway, you can see that we climbed right on up the mountains. At the 6,000 ft. we began to see some of what the Missouri folks have now. I love the fact that we can take it or leave it as we wish. Arizona is great in the winter.
Here we arrive at Jeff's place. He came over Saturday and helped fix our brakes. Today he needed help so Teri and I ran up to his place near Silver City, NM. Jeff has a nice home. His garage is bigger than our entire house.

Jeff has his entire dash out of the GMC. We helped him stretch some material over it and glue it down after we repaired the old plastic "horse collar" with a new aluminum frame that he built.

Teri is much better at this kind of thing than I am so I grabbed the camera as she and Jeff worked.

This was looking real nice when Teri and I had to leave. We should have been at Jeff's by 10 am so we could have done a lot more. We had to leave at 430pm as we had previous plans.

Tonight we are at our dear friends' Al and Anne. Today is Anne's birthday. I am full of cake and ice cream. All of the others are playing dominoes. I don't play games so I brought my little netbook and have been cruising the net and answering emails I could not get to today.
Tomorrow I have a few things to tidy up on the GMC before we take off Monday morning. Will be heading to Queen Creek, Az. for a couple of days. Then, we will take off for Quartzsite. I love that place and can't wait to get over there and meet up with friends that we have not seen since last January. A couple of them really give me a hard time but I can take it.
Hope everyone had a great week. I promise to stay off the roads until Monday morning so you working folks can move about on your days off.
Thanks for coming by. Life is great in Arizona,
Dan
