One of Those Days, In A GMC Motorhome
And I am happy to say it was a good day. We had the fans on and the door open here all afternoon. This is one reason we are here.I felt so good last night about the brakes that I just knew I would sleep like a baby. Had the exact opposite happen. I was so tickled that I could not get it off my mind. Thought about these brakes all night long. Getting them fixed was well worth not sleeping good. Ever had something like that happen?
Lots of people buy a second home when they retire so they have a place to go and beat the weather. We thought about the same thing. Buy a cheap house and fix it up. Then we decided why not get a motorhome and go where we want. That is what we chose. The GMC takes us wherever we want to be. Our second home, but it has wheels. We get to see all the places in the US and take our own bed with us. We can stay a day or a month. We can stay as long as we want. We can also spend a lot of money or a little. Often I am asked what it costs a month to do this. How much does it cost you when you sit home? Basically it costs us the same, here or home. Certainly it costs us gas when we cross the country but we travel then sit. RV parks cost money. We rarely park in RV parks, can't afford it. Parks run 25-30 a night or get lower monthly rates. They can range from 200-500 or more.
Anyway, Teri and I love the GMC Motorhome people more than the travel. Such great folks. You can see that by our experience with the brakes. There are these type people all among the GMC folks.
Enjoy your Monday, I will. Once again I get the roads back and wont be bothering you workers.
Thanks for checking on us. We may do some geocaching later in the week. That always brings lots of good pictures to the blog.

Dan, you might be the one guy that can convince me to shed myself of my bus and get back into another GMCMH. You are one slick talkin' dude. (Glad you are destinated in the warm country. I logged 2 hours on the snow blower yesterday here in SW MO.)
We woke up in the bus in Danville, IL on Saturday morning after a quick trip to see my son who lives there. It was about 2 below. I could only plug into a 20a receptacle, so had to be careful how much resistance heat to run. Plus, I had to run the block heater all night, not a lot of excess electrical capacity. It took a while to get the old girl warmed up and aired up. Cold is bad. Glad you got those binders fixed. YOu will sleep tonight.
Larry, now is the time to grab a GMC before the prices creep back up. Perfect size for a couple, as you well know.
Az. is nice in winter. Bright sunshine here and warm temps. We go up into the higher mountains and snow. Fixing to do a little geocaching.
Life is good in a GMC.
Dan
