For My GMC Motorhome Friends

Today I was fortunate enough to have time to run back over to Jeff's. I knew he would have a lot of problems trying to get that dash done and installed. Here is a picture of Jeff's coach. We got the main dash covered yesterday. When I got there today Jeff was putting it back together.

We installed the defrost duct back in after I got there.

There had been a fire in Jeff's dash before he got the coach. It rally mangled the passenger side defroster. We had to cut the end off.

Jeff cut an aluminum plate to cap the end of it. We then used some silver tape to finish it up.

Here is the vent after we finished with it. It was really in a bad melted shape and would not do its job. When we finished with it it works better than it did new.

The dash back in the GMC.

Now it was time to cover the collar. the top was really cracked up so we covered it with some padding to smooth it out.

The collar back in the coach. This thing looks good.

With the glove box door sitting in place. What do you think? If you see Jeff on the road, run him down and make him let you inside to see our work. We are really proud of how this turned out. I looked at Jeff and said no one would believe 2 dudes like us did this job, but we did.

Air pumps. on the left is a 50 dollar Harbor Frieght Pump. On the right are two Viar 275 pumps. GMC owners will know why I have this picture up here. The H.F. compressor is twice the size of one of these Viar's but looks very similar.

There you have it, our work for today. If you did not see where Jeff lives, check the tracker. It shows me up there for the last two afternoons. Was 32 degrees at 6200 ft. Was 42 when I hit 4200 ft. That was about dark.
I am sorry I got back out on the roads again today. I know it is for working folks on the weekends but I was quick about it.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Teri and I are.
Dan
