And the Sun Shined

Teri and I had a good day here in Tillamook. Woke up to rain. I washed and polished the car yesterday. Sound familiar to anyone? Went into town for church services. There we ran into a couple that we have been seeing all week. Noticed they looked familiar Thursday night at the fair. Then Friday night at the "Jam Session". Then today, it hit us, there they were at church, that is where we had first seen them 3 Sundays ago. We really had a nice visit with the Senior couple after services. They too had been thinking they must know us from somewhere.
Raining when we came in from church so we watched the Nascar race and had lunch. Later in the afternoon it quit raining so we got outside and went down to the full time neighbor's place. Sun came out at 7 pm and shined til nearly 9 when it dropped behind the trees. Supposed to be sunny Monday and Teri and I will get to the little water fall and grab some pictures.
We finally came in and realized that we had been with the full timers for about 5 hours, leaving them at the campfire around 945 pm. They are just way too easy for Teri and me to visit with. They seem as eager to visit with us as we are them. That is one of the really neat things about most RVer's, everyone that does this seems to be extremely friendly, more so than just average. People persons. We enjoy listening and learning from folks out here who have been doing this longer than us and know way more than we do. We even got to visit with their 2 grown children who came over from Salem to visit their parents. They too are people persons and we are very glad that we got to meet them too. I know that not all rv folks are friendly and like to mingle but most that we visit are just that way. There is another full time couple that pulled in yesterday. Went over and visited and they are friendly but I could see they like to be "loners" and that is ok. You see, anyone can be an rver but I think the happiest, who tend to live longer, are folks that enjoy visiting with others, hearing about their travels and experiences. Sharing is a funny thing. "It is more blessed to give than to receive". I don't think that only has to do with financial things but also sharing of our lives and experiences with others. I know Teri and I sure do enjoy it and all of you out there that know us, I hope that we have left you with the same impression.
Too messy today to get good pictures so maybe tomorrow. Thanks for stopping in again. Hope you had a good Sunday and shared something with someone. If I shared nothing else at least I shared a few thoughts with you. Dan
