Van Horn, Tx. in a GMC Motorhome

Wednesday morning, getting ready to leave home. 25 degrees.

Checking for those geocaches.

Our first find, Corning Ar.

Rest Area, 60 miles from home.

Our second find, Walnut Ridge, Ar.

And, moving right along, Hope Ar.

Yep, we are in the woods.

Texarkana before dark. We jumped off on 82 and it got dark on us fast. When we got to Paris we decided to drive another 60 or so miles to sleep in Sherman.

Up early this morning and on the road by 8 am. Just llok at this courthouse.

There she is, geocaching again.

The back roads of Texas are just great for scenic traveling in a motorhome. Rest stops even on the secondary roads.

On hiway 180. We grabbed a few in this area before heading south to Sweetwater.

Another very pretty courthouse.

A cemetary. We love cemetaries. this one was really nice.

A very old cemetary just west a few miles from the above shot. that little spec is Teri heading for the treasure.

Blow this one up and look real hard, right in the middle of the photo. Yep, that is Teri. She finds them no matter where they are.

Ole Gimmy and the Vibe, just waiting on us to find a cache.

And, finally, Roscoe, Tx. These wind turbines are everywhere around Roscoe. Miles and miles of them in all directions.
We hit I-20 at Sweetwater. Lots of traffic again. Yesterday we could not stay out of the way of semi trucks. I have never seen so many trucks on I-30. We ran through 80 degree temps today. Yesterday it was 60 in Texarkana. I love this a lot more than the 25 degrees we left at home.
Rolled into Van Horn about 8 pm. If you have been following our tracker you already know that. Gassed up and found a place to park. Sitting here watching Starz Network. I guess I missed Gretta. May go back in the bedroom and turn that tv on so I can see some real stuff, like Border Wars, or the like.
Hope you enjoyed the ride. I think we have a little more than 300 miles to travel tomorrow. Shoud roll in by mid afternoon sometime. We did 550-600 miles each day so tomorrow will be no biggie.
Catch you in Arizona.
Dan

Thanks for the pics. That courthouse in Sherman (???) is awesome. It looks like a European castle. We love old court houses. Lots of nice ones in the West.
