Mountain Climb, Beacon Rock

One mile up and one mile down.

Can you say switchbacks? Oh yea. This was fun.

Just as we started.

Now, here is a real mountain climber for ya.

Views from the top and as we climbed up, just awesome.

About halfway up to the top.

At the top, looking east. That is the Bonneville Dam in the background.

The info at the top of the climb.

Just some info about the mountain, rock they call it.

This is just large enough to crawl through but it is a long drop if you do. Not sure why it is here.

Look at the dates. Wow, nearly 100 years ago two guys did this trail to the top. The mountain was bought for one dollar by Mr. Biddle for the sole purpose to build the trail and then he turned it over to the state of Washington.
You got to stop and at least go part of the way up. The view on the river side is something else. As close to seeing it from an airplane as I will get.
I do appreciate yall climbing up with me. I don't like doing this kind of thing alone.
Have a great weekend.
Dan
