Thursday, as we came through Nashville, I got two thumbs ups and three guys nodding their heads up and down as they passed us. I was really feeling good. They like my coach I thought. No, they like my baja. Well, I finally decided that they really liked my co pilot, yea, that was it. She really makes the coach look good sitting over there riding shotgun. Teri tries to hang around me at these rallies and make me sound intelligent but that just never seems to work. These guys are way too smart for that. They all realize I know very little about much of anything. But, she continues to try. Now that is a best friend for ya.
We have had a great gathering over here in the northeast hills of Tennessee. The weather has been great. OVercast and cool. Very few raindrops. Food has been excellent. It is officially over Sunday but a few of us are hanging around for a couple of days. We have another gathering in Lexington, Ky. in about 4 days. It won't be a work rally like this one but it will be a good one. It is being put on by the Eastern States GMC club. My friend Byron Songer is doing the work of getting everything together for us.
Where are the pictures, you ask. Well, they are all over at our GMC photosite. This is an official GMC Motorhome gathering so I feek that I owe our GMC folks all of the photos that I can get. The GMC photosite is where we put them. Since only GMC folks are interested in stuff like setting ride height and upgrading brake systems I did not put any up on the blog tonight. Do not want to bore folks.
Well, there you have it. Teri has been working on her talk for our next rally. She is ready. I need to get busy on mine I guess but hey, I have about 4 more days so surely I can whoop something up the night before. Kinda reminds me of my college days. Never study til the night before. Then I memorized everything and always did well on my tests, except algebra. Maybe I will get lucky here too.
