Georgia, Sweet Georgia

Oh yea, we are ready to roll. Been home 2 weeks tomorrow and it is time to hit the road. Teri and I have a week long trip planned. We are taking the back roads of Tn. over to Chatanooga and then down to Calhoun on I-75. This is a sight seeing geocaching trip. We plan to take 2 days and nights to drive 430 miles. There will be no car attached to the GMC so we should be able to drive anywhere we want while geocaching. When we have a car behind we can not back up without unhooking the car. Therefore, we are limited on the places we can go, geocaching. Our plan is to haul the scooter on the bumper. I like the idea of having some kind of wheels aside from the motorhome. Never know when we may need to run to the store or some place after we park. The scooter will keep us from having to "break camp".
There is a GMC motorhome gathering in Calhoun, Ga. begining thursday evening. Our plan is to arrive early Friday morning and stay until church time Sunday. We wil mosey on back toward Missouri after church Sunday. I suspect we will do some geocaching Sunday afternoon and then get on home by dark Monday evening.
I have the GMC tracker running so you can ride along. Here is the Link. Ride with us if you have time or check our progress when you get a chance. There should be lots of photos and I hope to keep the blog updated every evening. An Eastern States Spring 2010 album will also be on the GMC photo site for our GMC friends.
Got the yard mowed today. It should look nice for at least a week. I hate letting my grass get out of hand. Teri cleaned and got the inside of the GMC ready today. I greased the bogies today. Got the oil changed and a few other things over the weekend. Tomorrow the GMC goes to a local upholstery shop. Getting a screen made for the new bra. It should really look good and will keep the bugs off the paint.
We are anxious to see our friends in Georgia. Some of them we have not seen in a while. We have over 50 coaches already registered. That is a great number for a regional club. Joe Mondello is going to be there. He is a famous 455 racing engine builder. This is going to be a fun gathering.
So, come along with us. Email us if we can do anything for you along our journey. We always have the internet up and going as we travel.
Dan

I wish I was able to be at that Calhoun gathering. From the schedule of activities, it sounds like it will be a great rally. Have fun!
