Fremont, California

We are back to Fremont again. We were here last June and had work done on the motorhome. We arrived about 1130 am and here are a few shots coming over the mountains.

Not a good street to come over the mountains in a motorhome towing a car.

This was the clouds covering the mountain out our front view when we arrived. They are gone now, 2 hours later. Now we can see the entire mountain. Look at how green everything is out here. We are on the Pacific side of the mountains now. The gps took me off the interstate onto a two lane street for 15 miles. Bad move. Had to climb the mountain on this street and it was so windy that we went over the top doing 20 mph in low gear. I should have looked at the route when I programmed it in but didn't. Not the first time the gps has done this to me. Teri could not find the route on the laptop as I was driving so we just went with it. Oh well, we made it fine and towed the car over with us. This green grass out here is just awesome, covering everything. Many mountains are just slick with green grass and no trees. these photos do not show you the whole picture.

Do you think there are any other motorhomes that look similar to our's? Well, take a look here at Jim's shop. These are lined up to get something done to them. There is one on the rack now. Another 4 that do not show up in the photo. When we arrive in Santa Rosa there will be a couple hundred of them.

And, here we are, pulled into this little hole, out of the way. Will re locate it after while. My satellite antenna can not see through this concrete building in front of us. I need to be able to see Greta tonite so will get it moved.
Was about an hour, or liitle more, on the road this morning coming over the mountains. About 60 miles from where we stayed last night. We had a good spot over there at Flying J and I forgot to take a photo before we left. Guess what else I did not do???? You got it. Teri spoted the satellite dish still up while I was dumping the coach. I just knew I put that dish down when I was going to bed last night. Oh well, will do something to remind me.
Thanks for riding over with us this morning. Traffic was bad but we made it.

Dan & Teri: We are green with envy and wish we were there right now at Can-of Tomatoes' too! We are home in Edmonton, Alberta still scraping the snow and ice off of Kingsley in preparation for our departure for Santa Rosa on Friday. It could be dicey 'til we get far enough south but all systems are a go. Keep us in your prayers please. I liked your blogspot so much that I started one for our trip...check it out:

We will keep you in our prayers. Have a safe trip. Make sure that you introduce yourself to us. We should be on vendor's row selling the automatic fire extinguishers for the coach. Will likely be at, or next to, Jim's spot.
