Dexter, Mo. Plastered With Ice

Some of our best friends, Clyde and Judy, just sent these photos to us. The first two are on our street heading west.

These last two are of our home. These photos were taken yesterday. There was still no electricity then. Not sure about now. I hope there are no fires when the electric comes back on. We dont have much but there are a few things in there I would like to hang onto so I can pass along to our grandchildren. Maybe my neighbors will drag the broken limbs off of my plants in the front yard. We live in a great neighborhood, I am sure someone will move the limbs off and out of the way. We can clean them up when we get home. Wow, what a mess. I have been watching the local news on the internet at 10 pm, channel 12. They rarely give Dexter much coverage so I have not seen anything of the storm. I have seen it now.
Thanks Clyde for emailing the pictures. I am hoping to get one from the driveway when one of our kids get over there. I don't think the VW got hit. I had it backed up against the garage door as close as possible. Our neighbor has a walnut tree just to the west of our house. I wish he would get the tree trimmers to whack those big limbs hanging over our house. It drops walnuts on the roof and wakes us up at night and clogs our rain gutters. If not I need to import some bigger squirrels so they can getem before they drop.
We have been most concerned about the elderly. We got a call from some yesterday who are doing ok with no electric. I hope everyone does ok and that the electricity comes back on soon.
Catch yall later. I am working on my hf radio this afternoon. Just wanted to pass these photos along. Keep all of the folks in Southeast Mo. in your prayers.
Dan
