Word From Home

I have talked with one daughter and had emails from an aunt. Maybe things are getting back to a warmer and melting temperature. I hope so. Much of Dexter got their electricity back last night. Tried to call our other daughter but she rarely answers her phone and usually does not call us back. I was told that she has her electric back also. I hope so. My little John Wayne buddy lives there. We have kept everyone in our prayers.

I have some photographs for my GMC friends. This coach was worked on by the same guy that ripped me and left a lot of important stuff loose. Looks like the "mechanic" forgot to tighten the bolts on this ball joint. Take a look.
Well, the pictures got all jumbled in there but at least you can see them. My friend was running down the road doing the speed limit when this happened. Please do your homework on the mechanic that you choose to work on your motorhome. I did not. Took someone else's word. Big mistake. I found all kind of loose stuff on our coach and then the front right brake caliper jumped completely off while I was coming down a hill in Washington state. Everything the guy touched leaked when I drove it away from his place. I got no detailed invoice. Was trying to get everything ready to travel just before I retired. He held me up. I had to give the guy cash money before I could pick it up. That was 6 grand after I had paid him 2 already. The guy even stopped in the middle of painting my frame. I guess happy hour came while he was taking care of that. So, if you need work done on your motorhome, please do your homework. If you are thinking about someone in the home state of President Lincoln, call me on the phone first. Just because you see a bunch of junkers sitting in the guy's yard, that does not make him a mechanic.
Well, hope everyone has had a great Monday. It was nice here. Teri did washing and cleaned inside the coach. I would like to say I helped but I was busy with some outside stuff and fooling with the ham radio. Not long til the weekend for you working folks. Hang in there. One of these days you may be out here enjoying the travel in your rv. This is great.
Dan
