A Day in the Desert

Check out those two. Wow, must be Foster Grants.

Our very good friend Rob came this morning to take us out away from our woes for a day. rob lives in Queens Creek, about 80 miles north of here. Out into the desert we went.

Check out these cacti.

What a day. We spent a few hours out in the desert just looking at the cacti and associated plants. Cacti, I like cactuses better.

Can you say Baskin Robbins? Rob took us for pizza and then here for one of my favorite treats.

Now, this lady chose yogurt.

Don't let Rob fool ya. He likes ice cream about as much as I do. He always has lots of it in his freezer when we visit. rob says he gets it for me. Funny thing is, the containers are always open when we get there.

Teri and Rob have this thing going with bread makers. This is only 4 that Rob brought Teri today. We already had a car full. I do not know how in the world we will get these back east. May have to rent a trailer.

After a full day with us Rob heads back home. He was not feeling well but still came to treat us to a great time. What a friend.

Shortly after Rob left Herm and his wife came by for a visit. The girls visited inside while Herm and I watched John do some cleaning on our engine. He pulled all of the valves for inspection and cleaning.

Ooh, a hot bath and shower here. You can see the steam when John opend the door. He then takes a steam cleaner to all of the holes and crevases. I like John's work.
Our day today was a full one. We did not have time to think about why we are here. Teri and I are able to make the most of our time while here. We have more plans for Tuesday, thanks to Carl and Kathy. Tomorrow evening we have a dinner date with Joe Ekl's daughter, Debbie. She just lives up the road about 9 miles. Thursday our 14 year old granddaughter is riding her horse in the Tucson parade. We can't wait for that.
So, as you can see, life is good for the Greggs.
