General Delivery, Duncan Az. 85534

Ok Garry, here are your pictures. We got the two HP cameras from Geeks. 6.2 mp. M547 is the model #.
Oh yea, this is where I go each morning to pick up our mail. While we were gone for over a month it kinda piled up. The postmaster was glad to see us get back from California. Since we will leave next weekend our forwarding service will be cancelled. We hope to find someone in Dexter to pick it up for us until we get home. Below is a monument to a lost pilot. There was a crash out in the desert near here. Pretty neat as it is high up on a rise. Can be seen for a long ways off.
A shot coming down from the plane.

Ok Joe, what is this on the trailer behind the motorhome?

Here is our home on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. The church of Christ built this building in 1905 and has been meeting here ever since. It is one of the oldest buildings left standing in Duncan. But, there are a bunch of old buildings here. Some won't last much longer.

Lets see if my buddy recognizes his house. This is a really nice place and well kept. It sits up on a high spot overlooking the Gila River. Many of the homes around here look like they are on their last leg but Mike and Debbie have a nice place. They normally feed us but for some reason have slacked on that this year. Maybe because we were gone for over a month, ha.

Some of Mike's livestock. I seemed to have missed the goat he was trying to give me last week. I saw him but he does not show up in any pictures.

One wooly booger.

Look at this little fella. His back is 17 inches from the ground. I was down on his level. These guys live for 40 years. Really small but his owner denies letting him in the house.

There they are telling me adios.

Just some of the landscape around the river.

Dropping down 400 feet to the river.

The Gila is kinda flowing north here. I have been here in March when nothing was flowing.

As the water comes down out of the New Mexico mountains. Pretty neat when water is in this thing. It runs to Phoenix and beyond. That is why the area is called the Gila River Valley.

If you click this picture up you can see the new snow that fell on Mt. Graham last night. It was cold in our bedroom for some reason and I heard the furnace kick on a couple of times. This morning I found out why. The window at the head of our bed was cracked open. I took care of that so hopefully we will sleep a bit warmer in the morning. Felt like we were parked on top of Graham. We can see this mountain for a long ways. This shot was 40 miles. Once when Teri and I were coming back from Mexico I watched this mountain all the way from Douglas. That was 90 miles. It stands over 10,000 feet.

Garry and Matt, hope you enjoyed these shots. If you look at the tracker, WD0AFQ-1, you will see I drove over 20 miles getting these pictures for yall. I have seen these sites many times before but wanted to share them with you. As I have said many times, the camera just does not capture what the eye can see. I hope these give you just a little glimpse of the desert's beauty. This is a nice place to spend a winter.
Dan
