Life in a GMC Motorhome

If you will click on the picture, just to the right of the sign, there is a Roadrunner. I was on the Gila today and shot this one. Do you think this filter was tight? I almost did not get it off without busting it.
Got up and did a few things on the motorhome. I had the msd timing unit off ready to return when I figured out it just was not wired properly. I reversed two wires and it seems to work. So, after all the work I put it back on this morning. No telling when those wires got reversed. I never crank on it so I did not realize it until we installed the new engine. The last time I remember using it was almost 3 years ago climbing a mountain up near Jim K's shop around Gilroy. It worked then. So, got that back on and then swapped out the oil filter. Wanted to replace the tranny line but I need Teri to help me so we don't spill transmission fluid all over the place. She went to school today to help our daughter. Stasha is a first grade teacher. I will get it tomorrow.
So, after so much hard work, lying under the coach, I thought I deserved a break. Jumped on my trusty steed and decided to explore some of Arizona's landscape. The bridge below has been washed out for many years so the folks have to ford the Gila to get to town. As you can see, they ain't going to town. Oh, there is a back way but it is a long and winding rough gravel along the side of the mountain. I think I would take up funds and at least put a ferry here. This is where I got the shot of the roadrunner. My new camera's first shot. See, no black spot.

This is some rough terrain. It is hard for me to realize just how hard the settlers and indians had it until I get out here. This stuff is rough, but my trusty steed just kept on getting it.

This was an old store and gas station. There is a sign in the middle of the picture that still hangs on. Wow, what stories this place could tell. Just going back 50 years, there would be some good ones. Look at the cactus in the foreground.

Short and sweet with pictures for my brother. Thanks for checking in with us again. Time is drawing close for us to take off across Texas. We will have a long drive on I-10 late next week or early the following week.
Enjoy the rest of your week. Friday is coming.
Dan
