Silver City, New Mexico
I grabbed several pictures today for my little brother who has been complaining that my pictures have been getting fewer and fewer. He is one of those wimpy guys who does not like reading what I write, just looks at the pictures. So, Matt, here you are, all for you.Billy the Kid lived here in Silver. Teri and I spent the entire day here today. Left home at 9 am and got back at 9 pm. We find this very depressing. Something I have never noticed in Silver City before.
Silver needs to start some new tourist attractions. I feel that they could really captalize on this old boy.
Did I say geocaching? Oh yes, we got in a lot of this today. Very nice weather and we took advantage of it. I was able to walk right to this one with no gps.
Nice old hotrod.
One of the caches took us here near Billy's mom's grave. We enjoy geocaches located in graveyards.
Teri doing her thing.
I took this picture of Silver from the spot where Teri is opening the cache above.
Now you can see, we were pretty high up overlooking the city. Here is Teri trying to get down. Pretty rocky. I won't show the picture of her climbing up.
I liked this cactus so I am sharing it with you.
They guy that owns this driveway, near the Continental Divide, has to be from Arkansas. He has toilets lining the entire 1/8 mile drive. Weird.
Jeff and I working to recover his side panels for the front of the GMC. After we finished he prepared supper for us. It was great and the visiting was also. He has a couple of dogs that are really fun to aggrivate. One of them goes nuts when you turn on a flashlight. I loved that.
